We have volunteer opportunities all year long. Join us while we serve our community. Volunteers can log their hours with KIAKO Foundation and use these hours as credits to be used towards future KIAKO sponsored events. Contact us to find out more.
KIAKO’s signature educational outreach event is a summer camp for elementary age keiki (children).
Ho’omoana provides keiki with a unique cultural arts experience to the Hawaiian culture.
Volunteers play a key role in providing a fun and educational experience at Ho'omoana Hawaiian Summer Camp. We appreciate volunteers in any capacity who are willing to help out, whether it's preparing snacks and food, demonstrations, setting up art activities or helping out in classes.
KIAKO sponsors an annual lu'au to raise funds for KIAKO hosted events throughout the year, including Ho'omoana. This annual lu'au features a performance by Hula Halau Ohana Holo'oka, a dinner and silent auction.
Volunteers are separated into smaller committees and work together to plan this exciting event. We need your help to make this happen each year.
Kanikapila is one of our signature community outreach programs. This is a free event open to the community sponsored by KIAKO Foundation, Hula Hālau ‘Ohana Holo’oko’a and Global Art of Dance. We get together over a potluck style family dining, we sing, dance and play ukulele.
Volunteers would arrive early to help with setup and stay late to help clean up.
KIAKO sponsors workshops to educate the community about the Hawaiian culture through art and language and cooking workshops.
Volunteers would help advertise prior to the events and on the day of the event, arrive early to help with setup and stay late to help clean up.
